Dr. Laura GoodellDiplomate, American Board of Pediatric Dentistry

Dr. Laura Goodell has been practicing pediatric dentistry for over eight years. Dr. Goodell grew up in the Madison area and graduated with honors from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a dual degree in Psychology & Neurobiology. She continued her education at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree. Dr. Goodell completed her post-graduate residency in pediatric dentistry at the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, receiving a Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry. She is board certified in pediatric dentistry by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Goodell is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, and Wisconsin Dental Association. She is committed to continued growth and education in the ever evolving field of pediatric dentistry. She loves to incorporate new research, concepts, and techniques into her practice to provide the best possible care to her patients.

Following her training, Dr. Goodell practiced in the suburbs of Cincinnati, Ohio, where she spent over five years caring for infants, children, adolescents, and patients with special health care needs. She stayed on staff at the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and served as an attending dentist for their pediatric dental residency program. During her time in Cincinnati, Dr. Laura was active in community outreach and sat on numerous committees to improve access for dental care for children in Cincinnati and educate the community on the importance of early intervention in dental health. She even helped design and fundraise over $300,000 for “Inside the Grin!”, a state-of-the-art children’s dental health exhibit at the Cincinnati Children’s Museum.

In the summer of 2017, Dr. Goodell’s family relocated back to their home state of Wisconsin. She has two young children, Rowan and Cecilia, and is happy to be home where her children can grow up close to their grandparents, cousins, and long time friends. She has staff privileges at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, where she performs dental rehabilitation under general anesthesia when necessary.

Dr. Goodell believes that going to the dentist should be a fun, friendly and positive experience for children. She loves to care for children and teach her patients the building blocks for a lifetime of good dental health. Always the advocate for healthy teeth, Dr. Goodell has been featured on multiple Milwaukee newscasts discussing various topics in children’s dental health!
